Come along to Goodwins Pool and receive some tuition from members of the club. It's free to attend and you'll be amazed how much you'll learn in such a short period of time! The teach-ins for 2008 will be held on the Wednesday evening preceding each match with a start time of 6pm. See pictures from a previous teach-in here.

The Aggregate Weight Championship Trophy
The Under 12's Championship Trophy
The 12's and Over Championship Trophy
Each year we hold a number of matches that form our own junior championships. The championships themselves are split into two age groups, Under 12's and 12's to 16's. A separate trophy is awarded to the angler who catches the highest total weight over the series of matches.
The winner of each of the matches will have the trophy awarded for that match engraved with their name upon it which they can keep for a year. Each of the top four anglers will receive a small replica trophy in recognition of their result on the day. Tackle prizes are usually awarded as well. The top prize may be a rod, reel or other piece of useful gear and we try to arrange for consolation prizes for everyone who fished the match.

We try to attract as much sponsorship as possible to ensure that we are able to provide the trophies and prizes without asking the club for additional money. The Fund Raising matches provide much of the cash to pay for everything and we also receive some generous support from local businesses and national tackle companies.
