Congleton Anglers Society

Our Waters

Goodwins Pool

A one acre pool on the outskirts of Congleton, Goodwins Pool is the Society's premier water containing Roach, Rudd, Bream, Carp, Perch, Gudgeon, Chub and a small Catfish. Goodwins Pool is the venue for all our junior angler events, a Tuesday evening summer league, fund raising matches and  a number of club matches.

Fields Farm Fisheries [Kingfisher Pool Only]
Club members have access to this water at the popular fishery at Sandbach

Knypersley Reservoir
A large reservoir on the outskirts of Stoke-on-Trent that holds large shoals of roach and bream in addition to specimen carp and pike. Congleton Anglers are part of the consortium that own the rights on this water.

Trent & Mersey Canal

A prime stretch of the T&M between bridges 145 & 147. The stretch will take about 30 pegs and is a known hotspot for catches of quality roach. Besides the roach there are barbel in excess of 6lb and carp well into double figures. It is also known as the "Romping Donkey" stretch.

In association with a number of other clubs we have acquired rights to the stretch of the canal between Bridge 160 (Red Shale Car Park) and Bridge 167 (Kings Lock)
